Transparency International UK conveys sincere condolences to the Royal Family, the Royal Household and all those who will be mourning the sad passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The late Queen embodied core principles of public service during her exceptional 70-year reign, consistently modelling integrity and selflessness. In doing so she provided stability and continuity as the UK's role, and the world around it, changed beyond recognition in her decades on the throne.

We also convey our good wishes to the King, Charles III, as he ascends the throne at a time of acute global turmoil and uncertainty. Against this backdrop his role as Head of State will be pivotal in securing the United Kingdom’s reputation as a longstanding beacon of good governance, with an open and fair society.
