How does Business Integrity Forum membership differ from an individual membership?

Business integrity Forum membership is a corporate membership for businesses and all their employees.

Individual members have a formal role in the governance of Transparency International UK attending our Annual General Meeting and voting in elections for our Board of Directors. It does not include access to Business Integrity Forum events or the opportunity to visibly align your company or organisation with the fight against corruption.

How else can my company support and collaborate with Transparency International UK?

As well Business Integrity Forum membership, we offer corporate partnership and sponsorship opportunities. Get in touch ([email protected]) to discuss other ways to support our work, events and research.

What happens if a member company is accused of corruption?

Even with the most effective anti-corruption compliance procedures in place, incidents of bribery and corruption can still occur. e are committed to working with our members to ensure these mistakes don’t happen again. In the event that something does go wrong, we rely on our robust procedure for dealing with corruption-related allegations among our Business Integrity Forum members outlined in our Terms and Conditions.

Strategic partnerships

Our work is underpinned by evidence and research, nowhere is this more important than when it comes to helping companies implement practical changes. Become a strategic partner to co-develop thought leadership and guidance to drive best practice in ethics and compliance.

British International Investment (BII)

We are partnering with BII for a groundbreaking multi-year 'Investing with Integrity' project to make anti-corruption and business integrity risk management central to the impact investment lifecycle. Our research identified a need for more proactive due diligence and portfolio monitoring approaches on business integrity. With BII's support we have produced three practical guides helping investors to: (1) understand the corruption challenges faced when investing in high-risk markets and how best to respond; (2) better align business integrity and E&S due diligence to prevent corruption from undermining positive impact and development outcomes; and (3) take a proactive stance to portfolio monitoring on business integrity to preserve financial value, support the achievement of intended impact and outcomes, and tackle the systemic challenge that corruption presents (forthcoming).

PwC UK and Novartis

Together with Novartis and PwC UK, we are developing resources for companies exploring how anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) data, expertise, systems and tools can support their ESG and sustainability strategy. We have produced practical guidance to help companies (1) identify and report on anti-corruption and political engagement from a ‘double materiality’ perspective to comply with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) accompanying the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive; and (2) connect anti-corruption and sustainability approaches to support ESG governance and risk management, including in the governance structure, across compliance, risk, ethics and sustainability functions, and by levering ABC and integrity tools and expertise to manage emerging risks in a joined-up way for a holistic approach.
