Former Prime Minister to give Transparency International Annual Lecture

9 October 2017, London – Transparency International UK is delighted to announce that David Cameron, former British Prime Minister, will deliver its flagship Annual Lecture this December.

Now chairing the LSE-Oxford Commission on State Fragility, Growth and Development, Mr Cameron is expected to discuss his convening of the 2016 London Anti-Corruption Summit, as well as his more recent work on this area.

Annual lecture speakers are chosen for their significant involvement or leadership in the global fight against corruption and have represented a wide range of political backgrounds. Mr Cameron will give a lecture and then take questions from the audience on the fight against corruption.

Robert Barrington, Transparency International Executive Director, said:

“We’re delighted to confirm the participation of David Cameron as our Annual Lecture speaker for 2017. As Prime Minister, Mr. Cameron began some important initiatives, that if properly followed through, will make a significant impact in tackling the global scourge of corruption.”

“We look forward to this year’s annual lecture and hope it will achieve its aim of progressing the anti-corruption movement both at home and abroad.”

Registration for this event will open soon at www.transparency.org.uk/events
