The Business Integrity Programme’s goal is to raise anti-corruption standards in UK-based companies so that they improve their own performance and help raise standards globally; and to increase awareness so that individuals and institutions within the private sector do not participate in, enable or endorse corruption.


About the role

As Senior Programme Officer you will be responsible for the daily management and coordination of projects under TI-UK’s Business Integrity Programme. A key aspect of the role will be developing expertise in TI and TI-UK’s policy positions relevant to the private sector, developing reports and presentations.

In addition you will:

  • Manage specific initiatives and subject matter specific projects from inception to completion
  • Conduct research and interviews
  • Carry out analysis of results, write and edit reports and publications
  • Supervise consultants and other junior team members
  • Manage diverse and sometimes competing stakeholder interests
  • Represent the programme and TI-UK at some meetings and conferences


About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A degree or equivalent experience, ideally in law, political science, international development, business ethics or commerce would be preferable
  • Extensive subject matter knowledge
  • Significant experience in managing and delivering projects
  • Significant experience working in a legal or professional services firm or in an in-house compliance team would be desirable or
  • Experience of working in government or civil society and an ability to demonstrate both subject matter expertise and an understanding of how the private sector operates, particularly in relation to business ethics
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills
  • Proven track record of being able to work independently
  • The ability to speak confidently to key stakeholders (internal and external)
