About the role

As Project Manager (OC4H) you will be responsible for oversight and implementation of the Open Contracting for the Health Sector Initiative (OC4H) in partner countries. This role will include regular travel to up to 5 project countries in South Asia/Sub Saharan Africa, coordination of government, private sector and civil society stakeholders, as well as regular communication/coordination with in-country project staff.

In addition you will:

  • Conduct initial scoping studies in partner countries, forge and maintain in-country multi-stakeholder alliances, coordinate KPIs and their reporting with in-country staff in line with the agreed logical framework.
  • Provide guidance and support for OC4H project implementation and facilitate a joined up approach across partner countries.
  • Ensure that the OC4H project delivers against donor reporting requirements.
  • Assist with the recruitment of in-country project staff.
  •   Coordinate research and advocacy efforts within and across project countries.
  • Deputise for the Senior Project Manager – as tasked and as needed, as per instructions.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Education to a Masters-level or equivalent experience; preferably in public health, international relations/international development/political science or anti-corruption.
  • Proven experience in multi-country project development and management
  • Sound knowledge and experience of the complete project cycle
  • Experience with DfID or other international development accountable grants highly desirable
  • Human resource management an advantage
  • Experience and knowledge in one or more of the following: global public health (ideally health supply chain/procurement), ethics, compliance, and corruption and its impacts
  • Experience within and understanding of stakeholders in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare sectors
  • Well organised, numerate, excellent communication and relationship building skills, and culturally knowledgeable
