This is an exciting time for fundraising at TI-UK. Entirely reliant on fundraised income, we need to inspire more individuals, national and international organisations to partner with us in our fight against corruption. We have established a new, ambitious Fundraising and Communications team who aim to build on our track record of success and to take our donor engagement to the next level. We are looking for a major gifts manager who has the energy and experience to help shape and build the new major giving programme that will enable TI-UK to improve the lives of many generations to come.


About the role

As the major gifts manager you will work with the Deputy Director of Fundraising to develop and deliver TI-UK’s major gifts strategy. This will include working with senior staff, volunteers and donors to establish a major gifts pipeline, to research and write proposals and to engage and cultivate lasting relationships with supporters. In addition you will use your creativity and experience to:

  • Help to establish a fundraising advisory board who will advise on and support our strategy, plans and fundraising proposals
  • Develop, manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of trusts, foundations and donors
  • Create compelling fundraising propositions and content
  • Feed into wider fundraising strategy
  • Manage a fundraising officer
  • Work across the organisation to help build our fundraising capacity and capability


About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A track record of relevant, successful fundraising experience with trusts, foundations and individual donors
  • Excellent communication skills – with the ability to make complex information inspiring and engaging, tailoring content to different audiences
  • Strong relationship management skills – with experience of working with multiple stakeholders to deliver results
  • The ability to manage and prioritise multiple demands on your time
  • Experience of managing and developing staff or volunteers
  • An interest in Transparency International and the world of anti-corruption
  • An interest in trends and developments in fundraising and giving
  • A good understanding of GDPR
