At TI-UK, we take allegations or incidents of bribery and corruption extremely seriously. In line with our terms and conditions of membership, we expect our members to adhere to our principles, which include open dialogue around allegations and incidents if/when they may occur. We will disclose which companies we are/have been in dialogue with about allegations and incidents of bribery and corruption quarterly and in our annual report. We will also disclose which company memberships have been suspended/terminated in line with our terms and conditions.

Transparency International UK reserves the right to terminate engagements in line with our guiding principles.

Our response to members named in FinCen Leaks

Business Integrity Forum takes very seriously and is investigating the recent allegations in the FinCen leaks and BBC Panorama programme about some of our Business Integrity Forum members.

The forum has a long-standing commitment and successful track record of working with FTSE 100 companies and others to put in place best practice anti-corruption and anti-bribery policies to attain the highest standards of integrity.

Our investigation, as per our procedures, will consider if the named companies have breached our membership principles. We will take the appropriate next steps based on the outcome of this inquiry.

Transparency International UK is committed to a world in which government, business, civil society and the daily lives of people are free from corruption.
