General Election Campaign 2017

Corruption fuels inequality, holds back economic development and hurts the most vulnerable in society. Left unchecked, it undermines efforts to overcome some of the biggest challenges facing us, including housing, people trafficking and terrorism.

The General Election candidates where you live want your vote, so this election is your chance to put the issues you care about on your next MP’s agenda.

We have produced a set of recommendations for the next government to take fighting corruption seriously. Now we need all parties and candidates to support them.

You can help

We’d like you to ask all your candidates to commit to fighting corruption, and then let us know how they respond so that after the election we can hold them to account for what they promise you.

Here’s how

Step 1.

Step 2. Tweet your candidate

Example:

#TransparencyMatters in [constituency]. [@candidate], will you commit to fighting corruption? Details at www.transparency.org.uk/GEcandidates

Step 3. Share your candidates’ responses with us, so we can hold them to account.

Sign up to keep in touch with our campaigns, and ask your friends and family across the country, too.

The more candidates who commit to fighting corruption, the better chance we have.

*Your postcode helps us identify who your electoral representatives may be, which will help with our advocacy work. As always, we will not share your personal details with third parties.
