How corrupt is the UK?

Transparency International UK has commissioned a series of major studies of corruption in the UK.  Together, these studies will represent the most comprehensive research ever undertaken into corruption in the UK and its national integrity system – assessing corruption in areas ranging from sport and prisons to political parties and the judiciary.  The results will be published in stages between now and May 2011.  This event will be an opportunity to see a preview of the initial findings presented by the project’s Lead Researcher, Professor Michael Macaulay, and will allow audience members to give their own views to the research team.  This is also the day on which Transparency International's annual Corruption Perceptions Index will be launched, and you can find out how the UK's and other countries' scores have changed since last year.  Results will be available on the day at: www.transparency.org
