In the wake of intense last-minute lobbying, reinforced by negative and misleading coverage in some quarters of the media, the commencement of the 2010 Bribery Act has again been delayed. 

Transparency International UK , the country’s leading anti-corruption watchdog and campaigner for robust new anti-bribery laws, has today issued a briefing note to help increase public understanding of the Act and to inform rational discussion of its implications.

The four-page document, Bribery Act: Myth and Reality explains why we need this law and debunks six big myths about the new law that have been swirling around the increasingly one-sided debate in Westminster and the media. Click on the attachment to read it.
